El Feo Kern: Welcome to Amerika, how may I help you?
Take a moment to glance over
this CNN article (pops)
dont freak, it's a quick read.
done? good.
when i first started reading this, i thought "fuck yeah! I dont need no stinkin degree!" ... while that statement still holds it's Flavor, it is poisoned with the bitterness of a realization.
lemme esplain:
take this little vinegar shot -
"Even though good jobs increasingly require some post-high school training, many still don't require a four-year degree. In fact, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, eight of the top 10 fastest-growing occupations through 2014 do not require a bachelor's degree.
And these jobs, which include health technology, plumbing, firefighter and automotive repair, are less vulnerable to outsourcing. After all, if your car breaks down in Indiana, you're not going to fly someone in from another country to help you."and if you read further they provide a list of the top 20 jobs...
of them all "Nuclear medicine technologist" was the only one that was not service/maintenance.
where are the scientists... the engineers... the architects...
the ones that built this country which we exploit today?
im sure what im saying now has probably been vomited up by idiots, that get paid for their bile, before, but the fact remains - we are turning into the McDonalds/WalMart/Stream of the planet.
I know they're just focusing on the jobs you DONT need a degree for, but still... this trend will not slow down.
I'm willing to bet that it is only going to gain momentum.
I hope i'm just over reacting... sleep has not been my friend as of late, so that could be a reason.
*shrug*
"Coca-Cola and sometimes war..."
