El Feo Kern: ATTENTION ALL DECKS!!! DEPLOY THE TIN FOIL HATS!!!
where did you find that Gerry?
I am the first one to jump on a "Big brother did it" bandwagon ... but damn.
wait... wait one goddamned minute.
the guy that wrote this ... his name is "Tom Beno"
do you know what this means?!?
Beno...
Be-no...
BEAN-O!
you know, that anti-fart pill!!!
OMFG! The makers of "BEAN-O" are lobbyists
for the Bush Party.
This is a ploy
BY the bush administration to smear "false" and "insane" rumors and allegations (that are actually true) about their party and the "alleged" involvement with 9/11 on the internet to discredit potential discreditors...
IT'S EVIL GENIUS!
ya know... get a jump on the game... like what they did to people that claimed they were abducted by aliens... the government planted cloned "bubbas" to go to media outlets and babble like retards about their "abduction" so that all the real people out there that HAD been abducted were associated with the Bubba-clones and naturally discredited.
Its all so clear
where's my gun!!!
... heh
eh, interesting read, but to many holes (imo).
Zero: Something Interesting...
Ok, before I get to it, let me just explain: I'm one of those people who is sick to fucking death of constantly hearing about "9/11". It happened
three years ago and the media
always constantly tries to make us think it happened yesterday
. I dunno, maybe 'cause they haven't been able to top the ratings that day
. It took
three freaking years for the senate to start and conclude their panel investigation and give their formal findings. Maybe it's because it's the basis of the entire Bush administration and what's going on here in Iraq... Or maybe it's because it's one of the central issues of the upcoming election. Or maybe... wait a sec... Crap!! Am I getting political all of a sudden?!! This isn't another big opinionated schpiel again is it?!! Well, then I apologize (seriously).
Any-who, my point is that if I
have to keep hearing about "9/11", it might as well be something I haven't yet heard with a little bit of interest. And so, if you happen to be bored or just want to give yourself something to think about then by all means click here:
http://www.angelfire.com/md2/BrokenArrow/thebiggesthoaxinhistory.html
Now, I don't know how much of this is or isn't true. This guy could just be plain nuts. I'm sometimes too lazy to look into things, but it is interesting. Especially regarding the less heard about events regarding September 11, 2001.
UPDATE: Wow, I got some feedback via email regarding the article in this post. Apparently it's not just the guy that wrote the article above that's screaming "conspiracy". Well, here's another (link courtesy of Josh) to supplement the above link:

maybe that was their intent... but i'm to tired to care.

Jason AKA: [RT] NegativePwr: I am still kickin
Well,
Sorry for any concern to my family. I have been in Kuwait working this last week and I have been pretty busy. I am now back in Baghdad. My throat is feeling alot better now. The antibiotics the doc gave me worked like a charm and I still have my tonsils. Not sure how long I will be in Baghdad but I will try and be better about posting. On another note.....Me and Gerry's flight info for going home has been finalized. We will be leaving Kuwait for Dallas on Oct.22nd and we should be home until Nov. 8th and cannot wait.
Amy,
Sorry for the concern I hope Joe's wedding was good and I wish I could have been there for it. I will try and call you when I get a chance.
Kender,
Nice to see you posting again....
Kern,
.................................................................. I am sorry about your mouse. I know he meant alot to you. Hope to see you soon.
Gerry,
Now as for this Mustang.....we wouldn't be thinking about making any on the spot purchases when you get home.....Because that would be a damn shame to buy a new car like that and not be able to drive it for a year.
Chase,
Good to see you on the blog....Welcome to our little piece of home.
Ashley,
Hope school is going well. The party starts when I get home......

...in so many ways.
Well I have been hard at work for the last few weeks, bouncing between ol'Subway and Spirit. In the process of all of this I some how managed to have a bday and meet a real cool chick. Thats my past week-ish in a nutshell. So here we go.
Jason- You feeling better? I know that sux. Did the tonsils get taken from you? Remember that Pizzaria that I was telling you about? ya... they shut down :( I was looking forward to taking you there too. ehh.. im sure there are other places just as cool
Jason's Fam- I am glad to see that you have survived yet another hurricane. Congrats on the wedding!
Bob- That actually sounds like it would taste good
Adam-
Just like talking in a club ;-p
Gerry- Im not sure if your equation works too well for everything. I have a good example but it is very obscene
Chase- Good to see you on the blog bro. We need to get together and stomp some ppl in AA sometime. I havent been playing too much lately and need some practice, im sure.
Kern- Hows your mouse?
Zero: "...For The Revolution!!!"
Kern: I find your arguement interesting. However, I am a "culinary revolutionary" and do not care about the 'physical state' of fried chicken or any other food! Fried chicken, chicken broth, fudgesicles or ice cream soup, it's all good! If Lea and Perrins made popsicles I'd eat them! Umm... uhhh... yeah! Viva la Revolution!! Umm... Yeah!!!
Everyone Else (not in Iraq): Does anyone know the release date for the '05 Mustang GT? Or rather, when they'll be available in Dallas or Plano? I heard that they'd hit the lots Sept 28 but I can't verify that. An inquring-lonely-obsessed-daydreaming-enthusiast-in-Iraq-who-may-be-visiting-home-soon is dying to know...
Bal'shoye spaseeba,
[RTI] ZeroFunction
El Feo Kern: hmm...
Gerry - you present a good case.
I am also rather interested in that unholy goo's taste.
BUT you should never have to question the Physical state of fried chicken.
just as a general culinary rule (which I have included below).
Culinary Rules
Section 76:
#187,229 -
Fried chicken, which is being prepared for human consumption, should never reach a physical state of matter other than 'Solid'. If said chicken can be 'poured' then the person responsible for such an atrocity should be beaten to death with the instrument from whence the pourable chicken came. Once that has been done then the area surrounding the site of the abomination must be cleansed with fire (upto, but not limited to: One square mile). This is the only proper method for such a monsterous act to be atoned
It's in there... i promise.
Zero: Actually...
...I'm very curious how that would taste. To help solve this, I will apply a personal method devised many a moon ago by yours truly. The method goes something like this:
1.) Do I like banannas?
- Yes
2.) Do I like Lea and Perrins Worcestershire Sauce?
- *YES*
(my god it's only the greatest condiment ever made!! Wheee!!!)
Conclusion: It'S gOoD!
And now we will apply the same method to Bob's interesting creation.
1.) Do I like popcorn chicken?
- Yes
2.) Do I like mashed potatos?
- Yes
3.) Do I like gravy?
- Yes
Conclusion: Pass the Lea and Perrins and it's all good.
Fleeting thought: Hmmm... where can I find more Case B MREs....
El Feo Kern: I now know why...
I woke up about 30min ago for some unknown reason.
I had the sense something was wrong...
horribly, unmistakably wrong...
I now know why.
Bob's small intestine probably just got a taste of that blended terror and the scream that resulted in such an unholy offering caused a disturbance that ripped throught the plain of unconsciousness!!!
or it could just be that I drank WAY to much water before going to sleep and my bladder was the size of Delaware... one of the two
El Feo Kern: yo... dont hate

Zero: Achtung! A Note About the Food
Ok, I see my post about the local food has gotten quite a response. Well, like I said, I am quite an adventurous eater. "Icky" looking foods don't really bother me if it tastes good. As for Jason's post; that is a good point. Luckily for us, CEA people ate from one platter and the locals ate from the other. However, there's always a danger when it comes to anything... If you've eaten Dennys food you know what I mean (Yes Ashley, that includes Whataburger).
Off the topic of food, I was able to get the upcoming Rammstein album (thanx Josh, you rock!). It's supposed to hit Europe Sept 27, but I can't find the American release date. It's pretty damn cool. The title album song
Reise Reise is awesome and the song
Amerika makes me laugh... I wonder if Germans really see us like that? I can't say I blame them. Any-who, the files are fairly big (one song has a 713kbs bitrate), anyone have a gmail account?
NOTE: If you get a chance, check out their videos
Mein Teil and
Amerika on launch.com. They're both pretty cool. How can you beat playing a Les Paul on the moon and in zero-G??? Also check out Marilyn Manson's new cover of
Personal Jesus. I always thought that song needed harder guitars.

Gerry,
Cool pics except the one with the food. Just remember one thing about local Iraqis....Especially camp workers and local farmers. The wipe their ass with their bare left hand and ten wash it off with water. These people are not sanitary by any means and that is why Hep B is such a big problem.....I have had the oppurtunity to eat with the locals a couple of times but after learning that little tid bit I have opted to pass on the food.
Mom,
All is well. I am back in Kuwait right now making a fast recovery. Extra precautions have been taken in Iraq concering our saftey and there is no need to worry about me. I hope you enjoy Joe's wedding I wish I was there. Me and Gerry are planning our home leave right now and buying our plane tickets. I should be home on the 22nd of Oct. I will be in UT from Nov 2nd through the 4th. Let me know how much Jake's plane ticket is going to be so we can get that part taken care of.
Kern,
Just a note....headin your way soon look for me on the tarmac.
All,
Good to see everyone is still postin. got a note from Matt letting me know that his ship has finished their operations over seas and is heading home. Maybe it's the long hair and black clothes... who knows? Although I did think it was funny when one of the kids (not shown) asked me if I was a "kung fu fighter". (Stereotypes... 'Ya gotta love to hate 'em.)
"Heh heh... no," I said.
"I prefer pistols and assault rifles... they kill much better." I thought that would get him to stop staring at me.
"Yes, I like them better too." he said.
Wow, now I was the one surprised. This kid can't be older than 13! Oh well. He's still pretty cool. Him and his friends give me free cigarettes all the time.

Zero: Iraqi Fine Dining
Well, this one is an old one, but I thought maybe I should put more pics up of my adventures in Iraq that don't deal with guns and firepower. In this particular pic, the locals decided to cook for us. Being a big lover of exotic foods, I was thrilled. Above are whole lambs roasted so tender the meat can be pulled off the bones with ease, rice, raisins, dates, bread, and other vegetables... Oh, and Pepsi. I can honestly tell you that if you can get over the fact that everyone eats from the same tray with their hands (as pictured), it's REALLY good food and a great culinary experience.
As for Jason's mom and everyone back home, we all are safe and vigilant in our different parts of Iraq. I really can't say much else... but I do feel much more safe here compared to walking around through Deep Ellum after Midnight.

My little vacation/training is coming to an end and not on a very good note I might add. Dubai was great...The Codan training went real well and I learned alot...However I seem to have come down with tonsilites (not sure on the spelling). I had to go to a local clinic here and I got a perscription for it. They told me I should not fly for 5-7 days but I am still getting on my flight back to Kuwait tonight. When I try and talk it sounds more like a hacking bubbly noise coming out of my mouth. All,
Good to hear from everyone, looks like the blog is picking up some steam.
B-Day Status Report: The B-Day was good. I spent the first couple of hours by my self sitting in a club they have here at the hotel. Pretty fun place. After a few drinks I started talking to this couple from South Africa. They were already pretty "Pissed". They call it pissed we call it plastered, Drunk....I thought they were mad for the first few times they said it until I realized they meant that they were drunk. Anyway it was good times I met alot of their friends and they bought me drinks for the rest of the night. I barely made it back to my room and then proceeded to be sick for awhile then passed out on the bed. All the makings of a good B-Day in Duabi.
Kevin, Kern, Bob - I will have to work on that Pie thing. I am sure they have some somewhere.
Ashley - I got the $5 joke and enjoy the hat....LOL
Julie - I cannot wait to see Jake. I look forward to him coming to Texas to see me when Mom comes.
Mom- I hoipe the hurricane has not done too much damage. I hope everything is ok. Be careful..
Gerry - Looks like you have been busy lately. I talked with Spencer when I was in Kuwait and we are a GO for our home leave in Oct. We will work out the details when I get back.
Dad- Thanks for the B-Day email. I look forward to seeing you when I get home. I am looking at flying to UT between Nov 2nd and Nov4th.
Well gotta run. Thanks again everyone for the B-Day notes. Please tell Tim I am really proud about the drinking thing and good luck at the job. BTW: Kern....Did you give Tim that Hard Rock Cafe mug from Iraq?
Zero: ...
Ok, I've been gone for awhile. As you can tell from above, I've been pretty damn busy. But I'm still here, still alive, and... umm... busy. We've got a lot of cool shit going on. Sometimes I really wish I could elaborate on that... but oh well. Oh and just a suggestion, comments do help. *hint, hint*
Any-who, I'd like to take the time while I have this minute to rant/inform everyone about what the expiration of the "Assault Weapons" Ban REALLY means. First of all, hey, I'm glad the thing expired. Why? BECAUSE IT WAS A STUPID, USELESS, AND INEFFECTIVE PIECE OF CRAP LEGISLATURE!!!
Ok, so now you guys know my point on this matter... But let me explain. There is a difference between REAL military assault weapons AND the "assault weapons" as they are defined in the 1994 ban under the Clinton administration. Listen up now, 'cause not many people (sadly) know this.
When you ask someone what the expiration of the "Assault Weapons" Ban means, they'll more than likely tell you, "It means that people can now go out and buy machine guns, fully automatic weapons, grenade launchers, etc...". This is a sad and uninformed response that many people believe and that others *cough* John Kerry *cough*, want you to believe.
First of all, "machine guns, fully automatic weapons, grenade launchers, etc..." have nothing to do with the "Assault Weapons" Ban of '94. These types of weapons are military assault weapons that have ALWAYS been banned since the 1930s. Even before the so-called '94 "Assault Weapons" Ban, they were illegal to posess or even use.
So what exactly was the "Assault Weapons" Ban talking about when it refers to "assault weapons"? Listen/read very closely.... The term "assault weapons" in the '94 Ban is defined as any firearm that cosmetically or ergonomically resembles a military weapon. To help clarify this, the following is an excerpt borrowed from www.awbansunset.com:
"Most of us that have reasonable knowledge and experience with firearms recognized from the start that the AWB definitions were primarily about the cosmetic features of the weapons and not their actual functionality or lethality. This fact is supported by a quick comparison of a rifle that was banned (Colt AR-15) and one that was not. (Ruger Mini-14) Both of these weapons fire the same exact cartridge and bullet, the .223 Remington. Both are semi-automatic. Both can accept detachable magazines. Functionally, these are very similar weapons. So what is the main difference? The AR-15 has a black synthetic stock and looks like a military weapon. The Ruger Mini-14 has a wooden stock, and looks more “conventional.” "
Wow, two weapons that share the same lethality and capabilty of mass carnage and violence... But just 'cause one looks more "evil" or "militaristic" than the other, it gets banned. Hmmm.... 'kinda makes you question the legitimacy of the law, huh? Did it [the '94 Ban] stop Columbine? Did it stop Jonesboro? Or did it even stop the D.C sniper shootings? Hell no. The only thing this law accomplished was to frustrate and complicate the lives of legal gun owners (whether you agree/like them or not). So yeah, I'm glad this thing is over and done with.
Sorry to rant like this, this is already a waaayyy too long post. But I thought it was necessary to help clarify this and help stop the popular disinformed concept from spreading.... That and I haven't posted in a month so I figure I'd catch up.

El Feo Kern: Stangers in the night
This was my response to someone asking about the type of "wildlife" out here - other than iraqis.
Enjoy.
"so far the only wild life i've seen (aside from birds and bugs) is a mouse that visits me from time to time to eat snickers bars while i sleep... i dont know where he's gettin em from , but he loooooves to eat them in my room.
that was really odd the first time it happened. I woke up wondering if i got a roommate sometime in the night because i could SWEAR that sound of someone eating a candy bar was coming from somewhere in the room... at 3am... I finally got up to investigate and BAM, there he was lookin up at me (I'm not ceratin, but fiarly sure, i heard him scream through the peanut, chocolate, carmel mush that was in his mouth) and he obviously was in a sharing mood because he left the rest for me... in a hurry.
almost every day there is a new piece of trash on my floor... the cool thing is that whenever there is a new one - an old one is gone. kinda weird, but cool
i havent found any droppings so at least my room isnt the bathroom as well.
If i get the chance i will have to toss him out, but im in no hurry to evict him."
El Feo Kern: Kender...

Jason AKA: [RT] NegativePwr: RE: WELCOME BACK
Michelle,
Welcome back from your trip. It sounds like you had a pretty good time. Just an FYI me and Kern did not find an internet cafe' in Berlin we had a high speed connection in our hotel in the Hotel Inter continental. Berlin was pretty cool and we saw a lot of the sites but I think on our trip London was the best for me at least. You are going to have to let me and Gerry know what Russia is like as both me and him want to go and check it out. Anyway post some pics of your trip so we can check it out. I will be going back to Germany here pretty soon for a training class in Frankfurt and I can't wait to get out for a few days. Well talk to ya later.....
Jason AKA: [RT] NegativePwr: Not Feeling to Great
Well I am now in our camp near Fallujah. I know what you guys are thinking and it is really not that bad here. The camp is really nice and so are the people. Unfortunately I think I caught a bug of some kind while flying down here because I feel like crap. Hopefully it will clear rather soon as I have my 2 day vacation for my B-Day to Dubai coming up plus I also just got confirmation on my Codan training class (for those who do notknow what codan is. It is a a long range HF radio system). Since I am the "Parsons" radio person out here I get to go to the training with our consultant Tony. The training is going to be held in lovely Frankfurt, Germany. It was going to be in Dubai as well but they changed it at the last second. So now the plan is I go on my 2 day vacation to Dubai and then directly after I jump on a plane to Frankfurt for the 5 day training course. I am really looking forward to it.
Bob, Yes there will be some gaming involved but very limited. I am not sure what Gerry's plans are for his R&R. I do notknow if he is going to the Phillipines or back to Dallas. Anyway I am sure he will let you know what's up.
Ok enough for now......pics are on the way soon but not today because Kern stole my camera cable. LOl.... Later
